Our Outback program staff is led by a strong team of Site Directors with expertise in child development, health and safety, curriculum development, family communication, and supporting positive social-emotional growth in children.

Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds and each bring their own unique skills and interests to our curriculum. What they share in common is a commitment to building relationships with every child in our care and providing a fun, welcoming and supportive environment for them to have a great summer experience.

All staff are CPR/First Aid certified and participate in a rigorous orientation. The teaching staff is also supported by high school Mayor’s Youth students, and middle school Counselors in Training.

Our sports activities aren’t just about the joy of movement and the fun of playing with friends (though there’s plenty of both!) They are also opportunities to learn important skills such as being part of a team and practicing good sportsmanship.

During April Vacation Week, we host our annual Hip Hop Festival when local hip hop artists and dance groups perform for our program and anyone from the community who wishes to attend!

All 1st-5th graders in our vacation week programs are given the option to participate in an arts-focused day at Maud Morgan Arts, where we have studios for ceramics, printmaking as well as 2D and 3D art.

Our vacation week programs are choice-based, which means that kids get to choose activities that interest and excite them! Options are tailored to meet all age groups and interests.
